Magnesium is a chemical element with symbol Mg and atomic number 12

It is the 8th most abundant element found in the crust of Earth

• AZ92 for Mold Casting
• AZ61 & AZ80 is used for Forging

Properties:

• Very Low Density i.e. 1.738 g/cm3 when solid
• Good Mechanical & Electrical Properties
• Non-Toxic while using
• Is Not Corrosion Resistant
• Creeps at High Temperature
• It is Combustible & Flammable (though the Auto Ignition temperature is 473°C)
